What is the power provided by the electric motor powering the elevator when the ele- vator ascends with a full load at a speed of 3.9 m/s?

    Since there is no acceleration F = (M +m)*g = (1063 + 211)*9.81 = 12498N

    P = F*v = 12498N*3.9m/s = 48741W = 48.7kW
