I live about 2 miles from one of those POW camps. I live about 30 miles from Ikes grave. Those prisoners slept in tents. It wasn’t all Hogan’s Heros. They constructed radios. Some of them escaped and were caught. Some of them fetched their families and stayed in the area after the war. We have a lot of people in this area with German mothers.

As a share of GDP, defense spending in France and UK is around 2.5%; Russia and S. Korea at 3%; China at 2% and growing fast… USA at 4.5%. I think 3% would be more than reasonable. Keep innovation, R&D spending… and end wasteful programs and close many bases overseas

    Eisenhower was a stinking *******hypocrite!

He was the one who opened the vast German POW camps, where the german Prisoners were kept in the open. Millions of them like sardines, without medical care, food or water. These died like flies, while the U.S. soldiers stood guards, watching this happen.

    AT THE ORDERS OF EISENHOWER!

He allowed the slaughter and rape of German innocent civilians, the jewish- controlled Soviet army running amok! 1st in Germany, then in E. Eur.

So, because of this, was necessary a continuous built up in the armed forces to guarantee defense.

There is a conspiracy theory about this so called “Military Industrial Complex”, because the people got it wrong about the thing the president really meant.
Occurs that in the Cold War, the USA so as USSR wouldn’t have time built their arms after the war started; once WW3 started the would have to fight with they got (remember that in the WW2, USSR lost 21,200 aircraft in Operation Barbarossa and was able to recovery and stop the Nazi invasion).

cont. So Ike demoted Patton from command of the 3rd Army and military governor of Bavaria to command of a reserve army in Belgium. On his way to his post he was said to have had a jeep accident on a rural road. In actuality he was murdered because Ike didn’t want Patton to ruin his career by telling the newspapers back home how Ike held back Patton from taking Berlin and gave half of Europe to a system infinitely worse than German National Socialism

@olds1607,investigate the matter for yourself. You can start by reading Patton’s diary entries and letters home to his wife available online. Then take into consideration that Eisenhower was angry at Patton for letting German POW’s go home, for befriending an SS captain, for refusing to expell German civilians from their homes to make way for jews and a dozen and for Patton’s hatred of the soviets. Also there were strong rumors that Patton’s army was going to effect a coup against Ike the bolshevik

@cowbot2 Another conspiracy theory. Bottom line is: Germans were bad at that time and they deserved everything they’ve got.

Man that constant “whirring” sound from Eisenhower rolling over in his grave gets annoying after a while.

@angel2901 0) FDR manipulated the USA into war – incl Pearl Harbor 1) The firebombing of Germany was not military necessity 2) the Eisenhower holocaust was committed against prisoners of war – including shipping hundreds of thousands of russians back to slavery and grinding death under Stalin. // There is a lot of history that is ignored in the feel-good propaganda spewed in government schools // “There are none more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free” – Goethe

@angel2901 @angel2901 6 million jews? Oh come on now anyone who has done an ounce of research knows the 6 mil figure has been thoroughly proven to be holobunk. Have you checked to see how many jews were the big honchos of Hitler’s SS?

Did you check out the facts I was pointing to? No, you didn’t becuse if you did you wouldn’t be flying off your jew handle with your 6 mil hasbara crap. Don’t bother calling me an anti-semitic, it’s a trick, the jews always use it.

    No soup for you!

@trails50 Germans were Nazis at that time and therefore the enemy. I’m German by the way and see nothing wrong with that. The Germans should have stood up to Nazis, but instead they were their accomplices. They deserved EVERY BOMB for letting the Nazis come to power and kill 6 Million Jews, their neighbors, friends, workmates etc.

ive come to the conclusion that he means that the people who really do have the power use brute force, intimidation, and secrecy behind everyone elses backs for their own gain. i mean what else would a person do behind everyone elses backs?

The USA has been infiltrated, indoctrinated and used more than any other nation..Soon it’s use will be over for those who control the worlds wealth.Maybe then the people will wake up to who is really the threat and it is not Terrorists,Muslims,Russians,Korea,Iran etc…we live in fear and hand over our rights as a consequence.Since the creation of the UN there have been more wars than at any other time.War=Money..why is 80′s of the worlds population still living in poverty, who supplies the guns
