Crane Smashes House


Nobody was injured when a crane smashed through a house in northwest Santa Rosa Monday afternoon in a failed attempt to remove an oak tree.

    I see the crane was utilizing a jib, That is what happens when you use an inexperienced crane operator and for that matter an inexperienced crane Co.Jibs only offer Height ”NOT” more horizontal working radius He’s lucky he didn’t kill someone, I sure hope they learned from this mistake, never let a tree Co. talk you into using the cheaper crane because he under bid the job!!!!

    When it comes to cutting tree’s down, a piece of tree is rigged and the crane put’s tension on the line, at which point the tree service cut’s the next piece off. The problem is if the tree trimmer cut’s too big a chunk off, the crane operator won’t know it until it’s too late.
